I am still overwhelmed by all of the LOVE we received on Saturday! So serious, I cried so much on Sunday, I sat in bed for an hour just getting myself together. When I first thought about having an event, I didn’t think we would receive such an amazing response. One of the guest, asked me, what made me do this? I know some of you are wondering the same. So here we go.
This blog, started off as a way for me to just share Sparkle’s #OOTD, I didn’t intend for her to receive so much positive feedback, or even repost for some of you. I just wanted to share what we do. I kept saying, if something comes out of it, so be it. But I never sat goals, or have any real vision for it. Somewhere along sharing, we have reached almost 20k on instagram. I don’t try to get too caught up on the numbers, like to keep things a little humble around here. What I do try to do is respond respond to every email and DM we receive, even created a private number to those who have hair questions.A few weeks ago, after responding to someone, can’t remember if it was by text or DM, but she actually thanked me for responding. It hit me, just like that: Instagram fame is real. lol
That response and the thought of this blog being so vain is the vision behind #sparklesdonutsocial. I wanted to create an opportunity for Sparkle and I to connect personally with you. What fun is it if we share our journey, you get to know us and we don’t know you. That’s no fair and it’s boring, in my opinion. The event was geared directly for the children because at the end of the day Sparkle is a child. We play dress up, take pictures, attend events, but this was for her and for your mini(s).
So many of guest have already reached out and thanked us for such a wonderful time. We were so nervous to host this. But YOU made it so easy for us.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t ask, would you guys want to see more of these events from us?
PS. I really tried to narrow down the pics but there were soon many. Also, some of the quality is off. Our photographer had an emergency and didn’t make it. Instead of running off to the bathroom to cry, I went with it and we did our best with the photos. Our friends, were so sweet to have their photographer take some photos.
Thank you to our sponsors for making this event possible:
These guest loved their swag bags, filled with some special goodies.
