When baby girl confidence is on 100, you just watch and take notes. As she is turning three, little changes are happening. She’s becoming more independent more than anything. Reminding me,every chance she gets, she is no longer a baby.
As much as I love the fact that she is growing up, the feeling is definitely bittersweet. Its like’s what’s a girl to do around these mom streets, if I’m not needed. Now don’t get me wrong, there are perks for the babies growing up. But as a mom, you get what I am saying.
Since we spend so much time together, teaching her, not only things to prepare her for school, but life lessons that she will carry with her forever. You know manners, domestic stuff to prepare her for her husband and children, morals, values, but most important spiritual wisdom. It’s never to early to show and teach our daughters these things.
During bible study two weeks ago, we learned, She is a child of God and she is loved my God. I never want her to forget that. She was created to fill the shoes he has given her and he created special shoes for her to walk in. Only her. She does not need to try to be like anyone, not even mommy. It’s OK for her to admire someone else, but never try change who you are to be like them.
At her age, it’s so easy for the kids to copy one another and want to be just like this person and that one.People may consider that normal for this age group, but on the other hand, it’s this age where the comparison games begins. My God, it’s such a dangerous game to enter, once you enter it’s so hard to exit. Recognizing this now, I try my best to teach her, God created Summer Sparkle Girl special. There is no other Summer Sparkle girl in the world. No one else. Be you baby. Be you.
