It’s been a little over a month since school started and we thought it would be fun to occasionally show you how we style Sparkle’s uniform. Most parents will agree that uniforms make it things easy, but it can also present a challenge to make it your own. Let me tell you, it doesn’t have to be!! There is a way to ace school outfits and let your child’s personality show AND get good grades!
Start with the basics, what does your child feel comfortable in, pants, skirt, dresses. This year Sparkle opted to select only dresses and skirts, no pants!!! Let’s see if she changes her mind once the weather changes and the temperature drops!
After the basics, we can focus on the pieces that will bring out your child’s personality, for Sparkle that means fun colored socks/tights. Knee socks are so fun for the girls and most brands have really fun options, like this pair that we just ordered!
The last but most important is the bookbag and/or lunch bag combo! I always try to give Sparkle tips when making friends, and believe it or not, bookbags can be conversation starters for our children! A simple: Hi. I like your backpack, goes a long way. This glitter backpack has been a huge hit for Sparkle because it truly represents her. For most little girls, Sparkle’s/Glitter is a classic!! I am happy the quality of this backpack is great so we won’t have to worry about the glitter rubbing off before the school year ends!!
Lastly, have fun with hairstyles and adding hair accessories! Every week, I find myself on Pinterest finding new hairstyles to try on Sparkle. We try to do one hairstyle/week!
Well, those are my tips, can’t wait to the weather drops and style her with tights and coats!!!
