A few weeks ago, the folks at Mitsubishi was kind enough to send us the Outlander Sport for the week. It was perfect timing as the kids had a four day weekend. I surprised them with a road trip to visit family in Lancaster, PA. After loading up the car with our luggage, I picked them up in the new wheels, programmed the Kidz Bop station on and hit the road. A road trip is not complete in our family if we don’t have the right tunes AND stop at Chic Fil-A. Speaking of tunes, the sound system was EVERYTHING in the Outlander. Sparkle sang and danced her little heart to SLEEP!
Although we visit Lancaster often, the kids never get tired of it. They love spending time with their great aunts and cousin. Most of you wonder where she gets that old lady soul from, I blame all the one on one time she spends with her elders. They fill her up with so much wisdom whether it’s through life lessons or teaching her how to cook.
This past trip was one of the best ones we ever had. We split our time between exploring downtown Lancaster + relaxing in pajamas watching movies and playing UNO.There was a moment during a game of UNO where the kids found it hilarious that my aunts forgot how to play.Sparkle felt bad so she teamed up with my aunt to help her play her hand, it was the cutest thing ever.
While most kids love the gift of things, my crew loves the gift of time. Something we all take for granted.Until it’s too late.
