Like some of us, Sparkle suffers from eczema. I generally control it by her diet but sometimes she may eat something that throws it off. I know how it feels to have eczema ruin your self-confidence, especially when you are young. Not only does it leave those nasty marks, it’s itches like crazy!
For this reason, we pay special attention to her skin. Along with a controlled diet, she and I created a skincare routine to help.
Since she’s four, I only use products that are gentle and safe for her skin. Nothing too harsh that will do more damage than good.
This plant-based cleanser is one of our holy grails! It’s one of those products that work all year round. Not only does it give your skin a good cleanse, it helps with the texture of your skin all the while giving you the perfect glow. For the past few weeks its been doing wonders on her skin. You can no longer notice the pesky dark marks around her neck and mouth.
As her moisture, we follow up with this Acure Moroccan Argan Oil. It not only moisturizes her face and neck, but it helps fade and get rid of any marks and scars that comes with eczema. If you are wondering, its a very light oil, one pump from the bottle is enough.
If you don’t have this scrub you are missing OUT. I’ve tried a lot of scrubs, were expensive too but this Trader Joe’s one is my favorite! If you are looking to have your own spa like experience at home, you need this! After using this, your skin will feel so silky and smooth, radiant too. Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean your skin needs to look dry and ashy.I use this on Sparkle’s entire body. Giving special attention to her problem areas, knees and elbows.
Good and faithful Dr. Bronners !!! Hands down best soap ever, so gentle yet effective! The peppermint kind is my favorite! Gives you all the good tingle and feels after the shower. Oh, and it smells so darn good. Sparkle likes the unscented baby kind. I learned my lesson by giving Sparkle the big bottle to use, came in and half of it was poured in the tub. I now put hers in a travel size bottle so she can use it and refill it when necessary.
Hands down the best butter ever. I don’t know about you but dry skin is real when wintertime rolls around. I don’t have time to play games with a little lotion. The benefits of using the butter are the natural oils that help not only moisture her skin but also the texture. As I mentioned before, Sparkle was eczema so it’s important we are choosing products that help her.
Let me say, I prefer using these products vs any of the medicated stuff they prescribe to the doctors.
